Cauda equina:
Unfamiliar words, beautiful, exotic sounds.
The world behind it
is different, though, full of limitations and pain.
Feeling vulnerable on the street,
surrounded by people walking, laughing,
running to catch the bus,
not aware of their freedom,
of their ability to go wherever they want to go.
Shall I be allright? How long is this going to take?
Questions no doctor can or wants to answer.
The only road that is open
leads along courage, strength, hope and faith.
